Trip 1: El Tunco: Dental Hygiene Seminar/Remar Orphanage/Feeding Program
December 26, 2014 - January 2, 2015

Flight from Toronto: Approximately $1000 - $1200 round trip
Accommodation at El Sunzal Villa: $600/week

Tentative Itinerary
  • Dental Hygiene semiar (2 days) – Help with dental clinic for the community, handing out toothbrushes and tooth paste
  • Remar Orphanage (2 Days) – Helping out with chores needed that day (laundry, lunch, yard work, etc) then playing activities with the kids in the afternoon
  • Playa San Diego – (1 Day) Feeding Program.  Purchasing and prepping food for an impoverished community.  Serving food then playing activities with the kids
  • Smile Bag Donation (1 Day) – Purchasing food from the grocery store (beans, rice, pasta, sauce,etc), assembling them into Smile Bags to give out to families in the impoverished communities
Activities
  • I will arrange surf lessons for those who are interested.  Lessons are $10/hour and board rental is $10 for the day
  • Waterfalls – I can arrange for a local to take you on a hike to see the beautiful waterfalls, this is $25 for the trip
  • Food market – I can arrange for a local to take you to check-out the Sunday Food market, this is $25 for the trip
  • There are also activities that I can list out and send more details closer to the dates

Trip 2: Los Flores: Building Classroom for El Cuco Elementary School
January 3, 2015 - January 11, 2015

We'll be in Los Flores, El Salvador and have an opportunity to build a classroom for the school.  The Mayor agreed that if 100 Smiles Project pays for the build, he will pay for the teachers salary to keep it sustainable!  

They will make sure the foundation is done before we get there so that we can help with the building part for the week.  After we leave there will be people in the community to help out with the rest of construction.
