Back to El Salvador for a full month of Volunteering - March 2014
With the help of friends and family at home and an online fundraising campaign I ran last minute before leaving for my trip, I was able to raise a total of $3395USD. The money raised went towards helping out Remar Orphanage, Love & Hope Orphanage, Soul Surf Project, feeding programs, love bags and school supplies.
El Salvador Toy Donation and Volunteer - Dec 2013/Jan 2014
I raised over 250 toys to take with me to El Salvador to Remar Orphanage. During my 10 Days in El Salvador, I spent half of my time surfing and half of my time with the children at the orphanage.
Costa Rica Toy Donation - January 2012
Toy Donation to St. Mary's Children's home in Trinidad - December 2011
I was headed to Costa Rica for a 10 Day surf trip to Santa Teresa with my friend Heidi. Once we booked our trip, we started requesting for donations and held a toy drive event, raising a total of 125 toys. Throughout our trip, we gave out toys to the children at the hospital and drove the the fishing villages passing them out through the car. It was amazing to see how many smiles we had put on the children's faces.
My first 100 Smiles Project. I was headed to Trinidad for a friends wedding for 5 days and decided to collect a bunch of toys to bring with me to drop off at St. Mary's Children's home.
117 toys were donated from friends and family.
